| Jackie was born in September 1941, in Chatham, Illinois. She
was the only child of Steve and Sarah Dodd. Her father was a successful farmer
and businessman in the Chatham area. Jackie had an outgoing personality and loved to travel, which prompted her to make a career in aviation. In the 1960’s she was an airline hostess with PanAm. She then spent many years as a hostess on private jets, where she met a large number of famous people and show business celebrities. After Jackie and Malcolm married in February 1992, they lived in the Hollywood Hills, in Los Angeles. Their plan for retirement was to buy a boat in Florida and travel the Inter-Coastal Waterway, which they accomplished in May 2000. They particularly liked the Fort Pierce City Marina, with it’s beautiful location, excellent fishing, nice people. |

| Jackie loved the beauty of the Hana area
on Maui, where she spent time in the 1970’s. She now rests at the Valley
Isle Cemetery on the Road to Hana. The site has a sweeping view of the
pineapple fields and the ocean. Her headstone contains two color photos
of Jackie and one of Muffin. In July 2003, a second memorial service was held for Jackie, in her home town of Chatham, IL. It was arranged by her Uncle Harold Dodd, Cousin Carol McCelland and good friend, Bonnie Duffy. A second head stone, together with a portion of her ashes was placed at the grave site of her parents, in Chatham, under her given name, Carolyn Lea Dodd. |
